Puglia is widely regarded as having some of Italy's finest cuisines.
The 'slow food' movement was born in Puglia and menus change with the season's to deliver finely prepared dishes using seasonal and locally grown ingredients . . . many of which you will not find in other Italian regions.
The dishes are not complex . . . but are filled with flavour.
We have curated three (3) lists of where to eat in Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca, Ceglie Messapica, Locorotondo . . . and beyond . . . to cater to just about any taste, budget or occasion:
Our Curated 'Favourites'
Lunch or light dinners. Tasting platters, sandwiches, pizza. Note: during the summer, pizza is usually eaten in the evenings and you will find it difficult to find pizza at lunchtime.
We frequent each of these restaurants and even call a few our 'regulars'. Remember to experience an antipasta course. You will find pasta, meat and seafood specialists. None will break the bank
Our favourites as well . . . but expect finer dining (but everywhere is casual in Puglia) and the bill to be higher. We visit most of these once a year.
